Her parents relocated to Dallas, Texas shortly after her birth. She graduated
from Booker T. Washington High School, Performing and Visual Arts which is
located within the Arts District. She later earned an BFA degree from Stephens
College in acting and she also attended the British American Drama Academy. She
also worked for six years with the Dallas Theatre Center, and one year with the
Encore Company. Before her debut on the big screen, she started her career as
an actor in the theater. Her stage credits in theater include performances of
"As You like It", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum", "Measure for Measure", "Baby" and
"Chicago" along with many others. Her most memorable performance was
in Michael Cristofer’s HBO television series Gia (1998), opposite Angelina
Jolie. She made her famous to both critics and viewers. After that, she starred
in the sci-fi time travel adventure, Frequency (2000) featuring Dennis Quaid
and Neil LaBute's highly anticipated Nurse Betty (2000) opposite Renee
Zellweger, Elizabeth showed her impressive acting abilities. Elizabeth Mitchell
is an actor with many credits, including films, TV shows and theatres. While
the filming of Frequency ((2000)) the actress injured her nose. Hertz
