Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. She is most famous for her
role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for
which she has been recognized with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting
Actress in a Show, Miniseries, or Television Film. She has also appeared in
NBC's Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004), and TNT's
Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia,
on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant to the United States
Navy, while her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service; her
family was frequently moved during her childhood, residing in Washington, D.C.
and Arizona in addition to in Japan. At a very young age she was inspired by
her grandparent and grandmother to pursue a career in drawing, painting and
architecture. While she was a lover of the visual arts throughout her life, she
also developed an interest in acting. In college she was introduced the world
of contemporary theatre. She earned her degree from George Mason University in
1994 with a degree in Studio Art. While at college, Seehorn was looking to
enter the theater industry, thanks to being encouraged by her acting
instructor. To get noticed she was employed in other roles in D.C.'s theatre
industry. She was able to get several important roles in local theater
productions. But she required odd jobs to earn a living. To help her pay for
her expenses she also took on parts in short industrial instructional films. In
the next few years, she was able to land roles on television productions. Her
roles were often that were "very humorous and humorous" like her idol
Bea Arthur. But, the majority of her roles were short-run series that ended
after one or two seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking
Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of
the title Jimmy McGill/Saul Wellman (Bob Odenkirk).
